Venezuela - Arepas and Perico
Well, here I am once again playing catch up with almost three months worth of posts. We are now almost at the end of the year though, and so in between Christmas preparations and finishing up final projects for school, I'll be finishing up these posts as well!
Back in October I decided for my Venezuelan dish to make some breakfast instead, and so I made Arepas with Perico, which were very tasty, and quite filling. I was very pleased with the Arepas in particular, especially because I gave one to my manager at work who used to live in Venezuela and was told that they were pretty accurate! Apparently they could have been fried up slightly longer, but I was happy with my first ever attempt.
As for the Perico, which is basically scrambled eggs with vegetables mixed in, while they were very tasty, I did learn that I probably won't be making eggs with cream again. It made them very rich which is not really my taste personally.
Once again, I was happy with the results of this meal, and I swear that I'll try and get caught up and finish these posts before the end of the year!
