Egypt - Shorbet Kharshoof
This Egyptian cream of artichoke soup holds the double honour of being both the easiest and one of the most delicious dishes I have made over the course of this project. Shorbet Kharshoof has such a rich and amazing flavour, and one manager at work even requested to buy a batch of it from me!
I honestly couldn't believe how quick and easy this soup was too make, mostly because I'm used to setting aside several hours to make any of the meals for this project. But even though it was simple, it was very impressive, and I ran out of it far too quickly. However, apparently Egyptian artichokes are different than the ones we can get here, so the taste was probably a little different than it would usually be. In spite of that though, I will definitely be making this soup again and again.
