Hungary - Goulash
When it came to choosing a Hungarian dish for this dinner, there was not much question- it could only be goulash, and the result was perfectly delicious.
The ingredients for the goulash were actually quite similar to the Irish Stew I made quite a while back. There were a few differences of course, especially when it came to the large amount of paprika that goulash calls for, but the biggest change was the cooking method. With this recipe I was able to use my slow cooker for the first time, which was pretty exciting for me, and this meant that the actual cooking part didn't take a whole lot of effort. It's really nice to know that the slow cooker works, and the resulting dinner was so hearty and tasty. This is yet another recipe I will likely make again in future, probably on some cold and lazy winter days. Yet again, and I feel like I've been repeating myself quite a lot, I was extremely happy with how this turned out.
