Ukraine - Paska Bread and Easter Basket
Finally getting around to writing this! Exams and final papers have sort of distracted me from my project for a couple of weeks, but now I can start to get back on track!
So, a couple of weeks ago I made this basket of goodies for Easter, taking inspiration from Ukrainian Easter basket traditions. Obviously I was unable to dye my eggs or paint them in the traditional Ukrainian way, but I did make Paska bread, which is an egg bread which was lovely and delicious. It took quite a while to make, as the dough has to rise three separate times but it was definitely worth the wait, and made a nice contribution to our basket, which my sister and I snacked on for several days over the Easter weekend.
I currently have two finals left before the end of the semester, both due this coming week, so I should be able to get caught up pretty soon! I'm very excited to be able to put more time into this project, so bring on the summer!
