Confessions of a Clueless Cook
Hello there, and welcome to my new project! As a part of my New Years resolutions, I have decided that 2018 will be the year that I learn to cook properly... for real... ...in my own kitchen... I know! I'm as surprised as you are!
First of all, I'd like to say that I'm not totally inept when it comes to the culinary world, its just that I don't have much experience cooking a wide variety of things, having been mainly limited to pasta and basic fish dishes for most of my life. However, I do enjoy exploring new types of food from all around the world, and 2018 is the year I turn 25, so I figured it's about time I learn to make those things for myself!
So, here's the gist of what I will be doing from now until next January rolls around; I plan to make one special meal per week, each using recipes from a different country. That's 52 weeks and 52 countries with a huge variety of styles of cooking. By the end, hopefully I will have learned many new culinary skills and broadened my horizons in what the world has to offer in terms of food. I'll embark on my first endeavor later today, and then we can get this show on the road!
